Tuesday, 15 September 2009

The experienced budget conscious interior designers at ITVs 60 Minute Makeover have once again chosen to feature Myakka’s products in their TV series.

Myakka’s fair trade furniture will feature in seven episodes with exposure to millions of ITV watchers from 21st September 2009.  The 60 Minute Makeover show brings top designers into someone’s home, concentrating their efforts on making over three specific rooms.  The shows that Myakka have been involved with have included living and dining room furniture from their exclusive Mallani, Khimsar and Thakat ranges.

The high quality furniture from Myakka looks fantastic straight out of the box and comes complete with full two-person delivery to position the furniture right into the room of choice, saving the 60 Minute Makeover time during the show.  Due to the exceptional price, it comes in on budget as well.

Georgie Hopkins, director for Myakka comments “We were delighted to be selected for the 60 Minute Makeover show.  Our Myakka furniture is popular with people who own all different styles of home due to its versatile nature, natural materials and complimenting designs.  Our products are sourced directly from the producers in northern India under fair trade principles and there are no ‘middle men’ involved.  This means we are able to sell it for a very affordable price in the UK while ensuring that the producers are paid what they deserve.  Transparency in our product sourcing is just as important to us as the quality and design of our products.  It can be a hard balance for many companies to achieve, but I’m happy to say that we have managed it.”
