Make yours an organic September!

This September take the opportunity to celebrate organic food. September is the Soil Association month of choice to revel in all things organic. Organic Fortnight was such a success last year that the Soil Association has extended it to span the whole of September.    Why not take the opportunity and swap your normal shopping for the organic version.

There are loads of reasons why we should buy organic product such as being better for the environment as it reduces environmental pollution and greenhouse gases. Organic foods never contain controversial additives and chemicals. Organic farms are havens for wildlife and provide homes for birds, bees and butterflies. In fact plant, insect and bird life in 50% higher on organic farms.   As well as encouraging wildlife, organic farms also have the highest standard of animal welfare, with livestock having plenty of room and fresh air to roam and thrive.  No GM crops or products are ever used in organic products.
