A brand new range!

Thursday, 1 March 2012

This spring we are proud to launch our brand new range, Orissa. This new range is hand crafted from solid Mango hardwood with intricate carvings worked into the frames of the furniture. Flowers and chevrons are patiently hand carved into the wood to offer a touch of Eastern artistry to every item.

Made from mango wood with the same finish as our Pali range, Orissa offers the same subtle and harmonious grain that will sit well with your existing furniture pieces. Mango is one of the most sustainable hardwoods as the tree is first grown for fruit and then used for timber. When the tree reaches its full height after about 20 years, it stops producing fruit, or produces a lot less, so it is then used for timber.  After the trees have been felled new trees are planted to continue the cycle.

Currently the Orissa range has two practical pieces, a bookcase and a sideboard. We are currently working with our manufacturers in India to make more new pieces in this new range which will be available from Autumn 2012.

As a Thakat customer
what I (and many other of your current customers) are looking forward to is existing range extensions.

Whilst launching new ranges is innovative & exciting, it is hugely frustrating for existing range holders, seeking matching pieces......

Any views?
