Every year in December we battle through the cold and grey weather to spend a week or so on location completing photography for our new Spring catalogue. This December we spent six days in three beautiful homes taking some striking new images of some Myakka classics and new additions ready for their debut in March 2015.
In addition to two of our favourite homes in Salisbury and Micheldever, we visited a new house near Malmesbury in Wiltshire, which offered many new photo opportunities to really show off our unique products. One of the most difficult things to do is create a spring look in December when it is rather grey outside but with the aid of some clever lighting and some spring flowers we think we have achieved some lovely pictures.
The team worked hard to take as many photographs as possible capturing the natural grain detail and colour of the wood of our furniture as well as taking pictures of some new accessories. The new catalogue will be ready in March and will feature additional pieces in our Mallani, Hathi, Thakat and Gypsy ranges and great new accessories too. There will also be two exclusive new ranges making their first appearance in March… watch this space for more details!
Once again, we worked with the very talented photographer David McDowall who we have worked with now for a number of shoots. We always try hard to capture the detail of the furniture in a real setting so it can take more time to capture the perfect image, with lots of prop swapping in the process!
The design and creative team is now busy working hard to turn all this hard work into a beautiful catalogue full of exciting new pieces designed especially for you. Don’t miss out… if you’re not already on the Myakka mailing list, make sure you sign up so you’re included in the first mailing of the new catalogue hot off the press in March.
