Lamps & Lighting

Wednesday, 21 September 2016

This autumn we welcome lots of lovely new lamps and lights to the Myakka collection. With new floor lamps, table lamps and ceiling pendants, there will be something to help every home welcome the longer nights. So close the curtains, relax on the sofa with your favourite throw and chose the perfect lighting to create a cosy atmosphere.

The Celestial Lamp collection has five lamp designs all with pretty shell detailing.  Hand finished in Indonesia using shells that are left over from the food industry, these lamps are both attractive and practical, casting a glow around your room. The Celestial Column Floor Lamp and the Celestial Torus Lamp both use whole shells, whereas the Celestial Globe Lamp, Celestial Convex Floor Lamp and The Celestial Gold Globe Lamp all use pieces of shell to create a stunning mosaic effect.

If you’re after a new ceiling light, the Honeycomb Ceramic Pendant Lamp is a great choice. Available in two colours (truffle and blue), these lamps would look great hung in the centre of your room or hung low in a group over a dining table. The Joel Rattan Pendant Lamp is a take on Skandi style which as a spherical shaped rattan shade woven around a sturdy wire frame. It would look great in any room of your home but try it hung in your bedroom or living room.

A table lamp is the perfect addition to a dark corner in your living room or dining room. We have a number of new designs this season including the Mercury Glass Lamp, the Lustre Glass Table Lamp and the Jute Wrapped Bottle Lamp. These three lamps have been hand styled from glass bottles to create attractive and individual lamps that will add style to your home.

Our favourite new lamp this autumn has to be the Surin Elephant Lamp. Carved from a single piece of monkey pod wood by the same skilled artisans as the rest of our Surin range, this elephant lamp is sure to be a talking point in your home.

With the clocks about to go back and the nights drawing in, make sure your home is cosy and comfy by creating the perfect atmosphere with lighting.
