What a lot of snow! Down in Somerset, we were hit on Friday with a great deal of snow and then we had some more on Tuesday night which is taking its time to melt and has left us with some slippery ice to contend with. Although the snow is a lot of fun to play in, it isn’t fun to drive or make deliveries in. Our delivery partners are working hard to ensure deliveries arrive on time but inevitably there are going to be some delays.

We have had updates today from our deliver partners who are all working as hard as possible to make deliveries where it is safe to do so. Our updates from this morning state that most routes are good, if a bit slower than normal, but untreated side roads and lanes are a little more difficult. Deliveries will always be attempted but sometimes, if it is deemed not safe, the delivery might not make it.

The advice and information we can give you depends on which delivery partner your parcel is on its way with. If you have any questions or concerns please contact our lovely Customer Service Team on 0845 460 3122 who will be happy to advice.

Parcelforce
Parcelforce have issued the below statement as of the morning of Wednesday 23rd January. If you are still unsure about your delivery please give our friendly Customer Service Team a call who will be happy to help.

‘The severe weather again in many areas across the UK today is continuing to make deliveries and collections extremely difficult in the affected areas. We do anticipate some delays to deliveries particularly in rural areas, on higher ground and on side roads where access is either very difficult or not possible because of the severe conditions, but the overall position across the UK continues to improve. There has been further snow overnight and this morning in North East, South West England and South Wales which, on top of the snow and ice already laying, is causing particular difficulties with deliveries in the following postcode areas – BA, BS, CF, GL, HD, HX, NP, SN and SY.
We would like to thank you for your continued patience and understanding during these difficult conditions and apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.’

Two Man Service
No delays have been reported but please call us at the office if you have any concerns and we can look into it for you. We normally suggest allowing 10 working days for delivery once the order has left us, during this snowy time we are advising that orders may take slightly longer.

We will update our blog with more information as and when we get it. Fingers crossed some for some sunnier weather soon so we can say goodbye to the icy slush we have at the moment! The Myakka team have all managed the trek into HQ and we are always happy to help so please do contact us if you have any questions.
