The Myakka Shop & Share Month is now over, and what a month it was! In case you missed it, throughout the month of November we pledged to donate £5 for every order over £50. The total amount raised at the end of the month would be shared equally between two causes close to our heart; Indiability Foundation and FRANK Water.
We’re so pleased to announce that a total of over £6,500 was raised! Both charities will receive over £3000 of funding towards great projects which will improve the quality of life of people across India and Nepal.
What does this money mean to Indiability?
The fabulous team at Indiability are dedicated to improving the lives, opportunities and human rights of Indian people with physical disabilities. Our donation will help them continue to do so through projects such as SKSN and the IMAGE initiative. We’ll soon be updating you on exactly how this money is changing the lives of physically disabled people in India…watch this space!

What does this money mean to Frank Water?
Frank Water are a safe water and sanitation charity. Their aim is to bring clean water to the millions of people worldwide who still don’t have access to it. We’re very excited that our money is going towards the funding for one of their newest projects in India. Keep your eyes peeled for our next blog post when we’ll tell you all about it!

The Big Give Success
Both Indiability and Frank Water took part in The Big Give’s Christmas Challenge, which launched on the 27th November, also known as Giving Tuesday, and ran until 12pm on 4th December. The Big Give’s match funding initiative gives participating charities the chance to double the value of donations from individuals during the Christmas Challenge week. We’re thrilled to say that both charities reached their funding targets, meaning their total donations will be doubled!
