But we’re delighted to say that creating an outside living area with fair trade outdoor furniture is now easier than ever, thanks to our new garden furniture collection.
Myakka’s New Garden Furniture Collection
All of our new outdoor furniture designs are exclusive to Myakka, made for us in India by a progressive family-run enterprise that’s been trading since 1974. This is our first foray into garden furniture, and we’re so excited to show you what we’ve been working on…
Comprising of a Mandore Folding Table and two Mandore Folding Chairs, the Mandore Bistro Set is ideal for your conservatory or sunroom, or for your patio or balcony. We’re longing for sunny weekend mornings when we can enjoy our al fresco breakfast sat at this delightful table and chairs set. And Ideal Home agrees that bistro sets are perfect for creating a little breakfast nook in your garden. Crafted from reclaimed teak – the best of outdoor woods which comes without any cost to trees – it’s fairly traded, too. With the reclaimed teak set upon an iron frame, the set also ticks the mixed materials trend that we’re beginning to see in outdoor spaces, according to Houzz.

Classic meets contemporary in the elegant and comfortable lines of our Vatika Garden collection. Artisan crafted from iron, each piece has a black paint and durable lacquer finish. From the Vatika Garden Chair to the Vatika Garden Table, and finally the Vatika Garden Bench, there’s a style for every home and social set up. We love to mix and match this range to create a large entertaining area – the possibilities are endless!
Add a pop of colour and personality
Of course, it’s not just about the garden furniture. Colourful accessories for your outdoor area allow you to really add personality and vibrancy to any space. Coastal Living magazine encourages us to be brave with colour in the garden, and we couldn’t agree more. Here are some of our favourite pieces to add colour to your outdoor space, the fair trade way.
First up is our Recycled Sari Bunting, a real celebration of the fair trade lifestyle. Handmade and recycled, the bunting is crafted from cotton fabric offcuts left over from India’s garment making industry. We think it’s too lovely to save just for special occasions!
One of our most popular new additions this season is our Rainbow Glass WIndchime (and we can’t deny that we’re not surprised). A delight for both the eyes and ears, this light-catcher wind chime is handcrafted by fair trade friends in Indonesia. And you can choose from 3 designs to suit your outdoor style. Hang it in a sunny spot to make the most of the vivid colouring.
Combine colour and atmosphere with our Moroccan Mini Glass Lanterns. Available in 4 colours, we like to hang them up or place them on our fair trade garden table, providing a peaceful and relaxing glow. They may wear in bad weather so we recommend bringing these jewel-like lanterns indoors in bad weather.
