As the end of the summer approaches we thought we could take a look at some of the best moments so far. From the Jubilee to the Olympics this has been one busy summer full of amazing moments. Here are some of the Myakka’s team favourites….(sorry very Olympic based, but we loved it!)

Alexandra –  When Murray beat Federer and won his Olympic Gold. I was watching the bronze medal match with my son (Del Potro vs Djokovic) on Court number One and they had to stop play because the cheer from Centre Court was so loud!

Paul – An amazing fast paced quad bike safari with my son in the sun!

Robert – Mo Farah winning his second gold medal in the 5,000 meters. The whole country got behind him.

Martin – Going on the Myakka team day out at the Hawk Conservancy and getting to see the amazing birds of prey up close.

Amelia – Winning gold in the Dressage at the Olympics in both the team and the individual competition and a bronze in the individual.

Donna – Watching lots of locals win gold medals! Including Peter Wilson winning gold in the double trap , from Sherborne. Ed McKeever winning gold in the Men’s Kayak single (K1) 200m race, from Bradford on Avon and a number of Athletes winning medals who train in Bath.  And going to Paw Fest despite the weather (local festival in aid of an animal sanctuary)

Richard – Celebrating 21 years of unmarried bliss!

Cherry – Sitting on Weymouth beach in the sunshine with my grandchildren watching the Olympic sailing and my first trip in an aeroplane (not to Weymouth!)

Clare – Getting to go and watch a day of eventing at the Olympics. Greenwich park was amazing and we won a medal!

Orrin – Enjoying as many BBQs as possible (weather permitting) and camping out at lots of car shows.

Elaine – Watching my son play in his first cricket match. He was pretty good too!

Natalie – Getting  tickets to three different Olympic events , tennis, taekwondo and volleyball. Being there was amazing and then sitting in Hyde Park in the sunshine with friends watching the big screen as all the action took place.

James- Moving in with my Girlfriend.

There have been lots of memorable moments over the summer and we haven’t even started the Paralympics! However you have spent your summer we hope it was a good one full your own happy memories.
