Regular readers of our blog will know about our continual support of SKSN School in Jodhpur through donations and active trade. We have just made our next donation of £8,175 to the school which is going to cover new stationery, including text books, pens, pencils and writing books as well as covering the whole vocational training scheme which trains young women to become tailors after finishing their education at SKSN.

SKSN School is a residential school for 500 physically challenged children in Rajasthan, Northern India. The school aims to provide education to a high standard for all children right through from primary and secondary school all the way up to higher education and teacher training.

To cover the whole spectrum of activities that the school now works with, a new Umbrella organisation has been set up called the Indiability Foundation which will cover everything from education (SKSN School), training (teacher training and sports academy), enterprise (vocational training programmes), wellbeing (sports and healthy living) and outreach (campaigning and educating).

This will mean that the Indiability Foundation will be able to fundraise as a group and will become a name that people are able to relate to and have a better understanding of what takes place within the group. The school will still be called SKSN as this name is familiar in the community and it is where the programme started.
