Myakka received the fantastic news that they had won the Ethical Award from the Ethical Accreditation Company – www.ethical-company-organisation.org.

This Ethical Award puts Myakka in the top 33% of companies deemed to excel in ethical consumerism with an excellent corporate social responsibility strategy. The application process takes 6 weeks and involves research teams analyzing each applicant company’s record on up to 15 specific criteria under the 3 general headings of Environment, Animals and People.  The Ethical Accreditation Company search for criticisms within several thousand documents from NGO’S, Campaign Groups and Court Reports and this search is repeated every 12 months!

The award comes just in time to be added into the brand new Myakka catalogue, coming out in early September, which features a new lines of furniture and lighting along with all the old favorites and best sellers.  Myakka will also appear in The Good Shopping Guide as an accredited ethical company.
