On Friday 21st October, 10 of the team attended the Somerset Business Awards evening, at the Somerset County Cricket ground in Taunton.
These were the seventh annual awards and the second time that we had entered. This year we entered Business of the Year award (5-50 employees) and the Marketing and Promotion Award. After the success of last year, winning the Business of the Year award and coming second in the service awards, we were very excited and flattered to be shortlisted for both awards.
The whole team had a great evening; we were delighted to come second in the Marketing and Promotion Award and third in the Business of the Year Award. We were up against some stiff competition who were all very worthy winners!
The awards are organised by the Somerset Chamber of Commerce and the Federation of Small Businesses with the aim of celebrating the success of businesses within Somerset and raising their regional & national profile. It was a lavish, black tie awards ceremony complete with a five course dinner. The fifth course of Somerset Cheese Board was our favourite with some of the biggest pieces of cheeses we have ever seen!
