Once a year the whole Myakka team put down their tools and take a day out to do some team building. This year we headed to the Mendip Hills here in Somerset to shoot bows and arrows like Robin Hood, shot guns like John Wayne and ride a quadbike like a Jackaroo. So on Wednesday 3rd June the whole team headed to ACF team building and events to test our skills.

After the welcome and safety briefing, we were divided in four teams and were given coloured bandanas to represent our teams: orange, green, purple and pink. As soon as we had our teams it started to get very competitive and the aim was for your team to score as well as possible in all four activities to become the overall winners. Each team started their first activity feeling ever so slightly competitive.

Special mention has to go to James from the Warehouse for his shooting skills, Robert one of our directors and Debbie from the Purchasing team for their archery skills and Coral from the Guildford shop and Elise from the Wincanton for the unusual quad biking ‘skills’. The whole team had great fun and loved learning lots of new skills and everybody had a fantastic day. The beautiful weather meant we were able to make the most of the outstanding Somerset countryside to sit outside and enjoy a delicious lunch – special mention here goes to the most amazing brownies! After we had all finished each of the events the winning team was announced and the winners were the pink team!

We would like to thank everyone at ACF Team Building and Events for such a great day out. The whole Myakka team had a great time and it was fun to do a number of different activities and have the chance to be a little bit competitive.  Bring on next year!
