Friday evening saw 10 of the team travel up to Somerset County Cricket ground in Taunton to attend the sixth annual Somerset Business Awards where we had been short listed for two awards, Service Excellence and Business of the Year (5-50 employees) award.
The evening proved to be a great success with Myakka winning Business of the Year (5-50 employees) and coming a close second in the Service Excellence Award. We are all so proud to have won the award and were incredibly flattered at even being short listed, especially for two awards!
The awards are organised by the Somerset Chamber of Commerce and the Federation of Small Businesses with the aim of celebrating the success of businesses within Somerset and raising their regional & national profile.
This was the first time we had entered the awards and it proved to be a very worth while experience with a lavish award ceremony on Friday including a five course dinner! The whole team is delighted with the win and the award is great recognition of the hard work that everyone at Myakka puts in on a daily basis.
