Here at Myakka we are all getting into the Christmas spirit! Secret Santa has been sorted and the Christmas party is fast approaching so we thought it would be nice to share our favourite Christmas traditions.

Alexandra likes to kick off Christmas with making her wish on her first mince pie of the season.

James likes to get into the Christmas spirit every year by watching Independence day every Christmas Eve.

Simon dresses up as Father Christmas on Christmas Eve, goes into the garden and talks very loudly about Father Christmas visiting sleeping children to encourage the little ones to go off to bed and sleep despite all the excitement!

Clare likes to start the day in style with a glass of Bucks Fizz first thing on Christmas morning.

Natalie and family always have Boxing Day presents; these are only small presents normally chocolate and always a scratch card from Grandpa!

Claire’s dinner on Boxing Day is always cold meats, jacket potatoes and homemade Christmas chutney.

Richard is (happily!) forced to watch The Sound of Music on New Years Day and loves to sing along to all the songs!
