Deliveries:

Unfortunately due to adverse weather conditions across the country, our couriers are struggling with impassable roads and an increasing backlog of orders to deliver.

It is with regret that from today onwards, we can no longer guarantee pre-Christmas delivery of large furniture items into Scotland.  We would also like to flag that the northern depots of our two-man delivery company are currently running up to 6 days behind schedule and are likely to also have a cut off put in place shortly, unless the weather conditions improve rapidly.

As an alternative, we can offer a basic one-man delivery service should you be happy to accept this – we appreciate that it’s not ideal, but it is an option.  At this stage, we can still dispatch orders for pre-Christmas delivery using this method, but we would advise customers of the following constraints of the service:

This is not a two-man delivery service and for health & safety reasons, the driver…

~can only move the pallet using the pump truck

~cannot assist you in removing your furniture from the pallet

~cannot assist you in manoeuvring the furniture into your home

~will not able to remove the packaging from your property

Container Shipments:

The weather is also affecting deliveries of stock to our warehouse and we have just heard that a shipment due to dock at the port on Sunday is still yet to berth at Southampton so unfortunately, we are having to reschedule onward deliveries to customers of stock within this container.  If this affects your order, we will be calling you shortly.

Please be assured that we are working hard and doing our utmost to get your orders to you in time for the festive season.  We really appreciate your understanding during this time and while we all love a bit of snow here at Myakka, it would be much appreciated if Mother Nature could have held off until January!

We’ll keep updating this blog with any news as and when we receive it.
